RE: The state championship goes through
Just to let you know. I am leaving shortly for the game and will be staying the weekend in CH so might not be on here till late Saturday or Sunday. So don't think I am hiding if I lose, I'm NOT KOMO!
RE: The state championship goes through
Beecher's (Concord's passing QB) status as of Thursday was still uncertain. He's still wearing a brace on his throwing hand. I don't think it makes a difference - Havelock still wins.
Havelock faced a very good passer when they played New Bern, and were just a few muffed PAT's from winning that game. NB has a lot more size, speed, and talent than Concord.
If Beecher plays and can throw- it might not be a blowout, but Concord still won't be able to keep up with Havelock - the Rams top the Spiders by 14 ...or more.
RE: The state championship goes through
Don't forget that fact that NB was up 34-13 going into 4th quarter and put in scrubs and sat on the ball. People tend to forget that. Havelock wins big no matter who is behind Center.

No worries Tyler I don't hide either lol

You can believe that if you think it makes you feel better about NB, truth is the NB coach never said he did that after the game. Did they lose some focus? Perhaps - but coaches don't start putting their scrubs in until mid-season blowouts - they want the starters to play as much as possible early on.
Not taking away anything from NB or making excuses for Havelock, but it was a rainy, muddy field and Havelock's speed might've been somewhat negated until they learned how to adapt.
To keep saying that Havelock only caught up to NB because of mass subs is not true and just shows your insecurity about winning by only 1 point against a team smaller in size and number to you.

Havelock is the only Team reaaly that new Bern has to worry about this year and last. It is a small school but has an awesome team.
