Triton Football
Can someone tell me why Triton is not getting any respect. Football Friday nor Highschoolot never give them the coverage like a Cleveland or south Johnston. They have a great football team and is undefeated just like Cleveland and play in the same conference. Am I missing something or maybe you all know something I don't know.

What!!! then you don't watch the highlight footage. All of Triton's games have been covered including @ Clinton. In fact both HSOT and CarolinaPreps give more respect to Triton than they do Cleveland. On CarolinPreps.com friday night radio show host Chris Hughes keeps saying that Triton is 10 times better than Cleveland and very rarely mentions us.

Here at Cleveland, we knew the big game is on October 12th all along. We know how good Triton is and how they had dominated other schools like we did. You got our respect here at Cleveland, and our football players will be really prepared for this game. Triton is underrated in media (except for rankings) but they are respected as a good team.

October 12should be a measuring tool for both teams as how far they will go in the playoff. For Cleveland to go to triton and beat them at home is going to really say a lot about them. I know Cleveland is strong at home but two good offensive teams will be battling it out. The best defense will win I think. I think I will stay off of both ban wagons bc I don't want to break a ankle jumping off of either. I just hope Triton don't look past SJ. They were pretty impressive last night coming from behind. I don't have a fight in none of these but I enjoy good football. May the best team on that given night win. Be a good game to watch.

This game will be the deciding factor in the conference. cleveland is a great team and triton is a great team. triton is getting their starting gaurds back from injury this week so it should be a real test for them. but the game comes down to who can exicute on offense and who can stop the other team on D.

^Agreed, js & the coaches will be saying the same things. It's cliche but it comes down to execution & protecting the ball. On the Cleveland side, we need to eliminate a few penalties & avoid giving up the big play on D. Should be a great game. Good luck to both schools.

This will be one of the best games in the area. Go to Youtube and find the video of last years game(a little over 1 hr) and you'll see what both teams will bring. From the Cleveland fan perspective we performed very will in the 1st half against their run but Triton did very well against our secondary. Most of Triton scoring were defensive, 2-3 pick 6's and once they got a turnover were very productive. What Cleveland will have to do is keep them off balance offensively and don't turnover the ball. Triton will have to keep that Wing T(if their still using it) working and wear down the defense. if your a casual fan wanting to see a Great football game you have to go to this one, Great Stadium with very friendly people & parents.

Football Friday highlights for 6 of Tritons 7 games this season are archived here, so you seem to be getting the attention from them. As far as this message board goes, its driven by the individual posters and the frequency of their activity here. I'm a Hunt suppporter, I think there's only 2 others that post here, so we dont show up that much. The others, Cleveland, the Triangle area schools have more so they get mentioned on the board more, not to mention thier conferences have fans too so it works together. Dont know about Triton, but Hunt and the Big East were only added a year ago and I dont think the word has gotten around. As far as in the bleachers, here in western Wilson County, Triton is more respected as a power than Cleveland. Basically because of Tritons head to head win a year ago and their manhandling of what everybody here knew was a good Southern Nash team in the playoffs.

Well, we have always wondered what the fans in the bleachers in western Wilson County thought about our team.
