New Bern vs New Hanover

Move over Triangle... this week the biggest game in the state will be down east as the Bears come to Legion to take on the Wildcats. Going with the homer pick and taking my Cats to shock them Bears! Will be a good one....no doubt

New Hanover is good this year and at home...no reason they can't take care of business at home, unless playing New Bern intimidates them...Hoggard may be the best team in the conference anyway....

keep on thinking hoggard is the best team... this is new berns best team in years. Too much offense as we return EVERYONE. And our "D" isn't too shaby either.

Boy oh Boy, this should be a really, really good game between 2 very strong teams,
and I am picking New Bern 34-31 even if game is in Wilmington..

I'll go with the established program of late...New Bern in this one. They're a little more used to the big stage with their experience the past few years. New Bern, NH, Hoggard in that order is my pick.

Both are good squads. I think New Bern's strength is dealing with ground and pound teams...similar to Britt. I think their achilles heel is dealing with teams who have athletes. (Just basing of the only 2 teams to give them problems the past few years Scotland and Havelock). I'm going with New Bern due to they have been in big games like this before with a lot of hype.

Hey NH has seen big games. Dont forget they were in the East Championship game 3 years ago and in the 3rd rd just last year. Predictions that this game will be too big for them I think is a bit overstated. They have been looking forward to this one for sure. Either way it should be a great one.
