Yea the offense is great. No way they stopping Leesville or WFR with that defense.

East Wake offense is gettig pretty good. WFR did not see our QB; Trent was injured and a sophomore played. I don't think comparative scores with East Wake matter a lot. WFR will have a real challenge stopping Wakefield. Both are good teams.

Wakefield doesnt have to stop Wfr they just have to outscore them. My.opinion is they can. I have no dog in the fight but I respect both programs and but Connor is the real deal and I cant wait to see the game, but they have the offense to keep him off the field.

Assuming all key players are healthy on both teams, this matchup will come down to Wakefields D. If they perform and stop/limit WFR they'll win. If they don't Wakefield will not outscore them...WFR has the advantage on offense because they have so many weapons. Running, passing, punt returns, kick off returns, kicking game. In my opinion Wakefields running game is suspect as well as the coaching staffs ability to interject good running plays into the offense. Just my opinion...we'll see for sure when they play the game.

Wakefield had one bad game in a game where they were likely overlooking the opponent (not saying that is right, just saying) and it wasn't long ago they shut down the team everyone says to have had one of the best running games around. At the end of the day though, there will be much more sense of urgency playing WFR than there is playing EW. Keep in mind they shut WFR down last year. I know it is a new year but I don't think it is outlandish at all to think they can slow down that rushing attack just like it isn't outlandish to think WFR can limit Wakefield's passing game.

Wakefields D could not stop the inside zone right and left, they had small noses who got no penetration and got manhandled. Where were the two Big, Strong, and Good nose guards #56 and #54 that I saw at Knightdale??? At one point the student section even began to chant "We want Randy" while Wakefield was on D, I think Randy is a nickname for #56 Ryan Anderson who, for some reason, was not playing defense. Wakefield couldn't stop the quick screen, and got killed by a few tunnel screens. If Wakefields D can't step their game up, WFR will KILL them.

the good thing about the cap8 is you get alot of practice to improve. With 5 easy wins for WF, WFR and LR.... these three teams should walk into the playoffs with high seeds no problem.

Wakefield and WFR will both step up when they play each other. The Wakefield Defense may seem suspect right now, but I think the Defense has some great individual players on it and will improve.. Or they will have too, or they will get some points dumped on them by the Pride and Cougars
