RE: wakefield D
Do you think the WFR transfers will allow the defense to play bad for WFR vs Wakefield? You'll get their best for sure.
RE: wakefield D
lbeck37439 - No I don't...they've stepped up in the past though...just using them to make the point that the Cap 8 is one team away from having half the teams in the league contending...the only other league in the area who has 3 viable contenders is...???...I can't call it...the #1 contender in the Tri 9 just got whipped (#2 is ???) and SER (#2 in GNRC?) beat MB by 13-9 (we won't talk about the WFR dismantling) so really the GNR has 1 contender...SSS comparison isn't completely accurate...Sanderson would be more to the point...

September 28 and October 5th...I guess we'll see then who has what...
RE: wakefield D
Teammugs, take the bottom 5 from the Cap8, put any other three teams from any other conference and those 3 teams are contenders! Fact is... WF got 41 points put on them by a team that's 0-4. So let's test my logic. Let me dip my hand into the tri-9 pool... ah.. grabbed Holly Springs. Now let's pick WF and move them somewhere else.. Holly Springs beat Heritage 29-14. HS will get 4 more wins, play conpetitive vs. LR and WFR.. be 5-2 in the conference, get two easy wins out of conference and they are 7-2, good seat in the playoffs... and there you have it. Another test: LR is 3-0. Combined record of the teams they've beat is 0-4, 1-3, 2-2. There biggest win is Green Hope (0-1) in the Tri9. Their next two games vs. Enloe (0-4), Broughton (0-4). Stats for LR should be good! Heck give them all scholarships!! The big 3 get alot of practice.... Green Hope, Holly Springs, Cary, Fuquay and Athens would compete in the Cap8 vs the bottom 5. And I'm not even going to talk about the GRN
RE: wakefield D
Wakefield also takes on WFR at Home this year, (The offense is not that good away). Even this year, Wakefield can't stop putting points on the board at home, but away the defense always helps them out (Riverside, Knightdale)
RE: wakefield D
Hate to break it to the Wake Co. schools but we all know you guys are not known for great defenses. Its outscore everyone and hope to get one or two stops to win.
RE: wakefield D
Not true cat.....lots of very good defensive coaches and teams in the triangle every year.
RE: wakefield D
FootballFan1429 - HS would get blown out by Leesville or WFR - GNR - Garner - that's it (and they haven't had much Luck against WFR the last 2 times they played)-IF SER is #2 it is a distant #2 based on a weak performance at home to an undermanned WFR (and lost another good player after 2 plays)and a poor performance at Millbrook...the teams behind them are supposed to be able to compete with WFR Leesville and Wakefield which all play under different systems - but all based on speed? I have been carping about Leesville's out of conference schedule for a few years, Broughton,SANDERSON, Millbrook, and WFR can take on some good teams but somehow Leesville can't? Doesn't make sense...not our fault PC is down this year but I thought they were down last year after the opener, but they were right there at the end of the Tri 9 title fight...would like to see FV since their style would help prepare for WFR...and the Pac 6 SD or Hillside since it seems the rest of the league is down...the players can only play who the AD's and coaches put in front of them...if you want to be big time (at least in your area) you have to leave that comfort zone and travel a little bit...just seems like when we catch teams , they are down...Cary, Apex, EW, Jordan, PC, - what can you do? Green Hope?
