I'll pick another easy one: Keith Marshall from Millbrook

No Doubt AB is #1. Josh Snead was a pretty good one
RE: Top Ten Running Backs from the Triangle of all Times
Todd Gurley from Tarboro, 3 state championships, first college game as a true freshman 8 carries 100yds, 100yd kickoff return.

Jerrell Rhodes - Jordan
Andre Williams - Northern Durham
Two of the more dominant running backs during their respective tenures at PAC-6 schools. Williams going back to around 1997 or 1998 when he was first on the scene and then Rhodes back in the mid 2000s.
Lists like these are always tough - so many young men that really played exceptionally well during their time in the area.

@ mjjohnson LOL! the triangle is huge huh! @ tobaccoroad If we were going to include Tarboro I don't think Gurley could touch Kelvin Bryant and long list of high school running backs from Tarboro
RE: Top Ten Running Backs from the Triangle of all Times
Gurley actually broke most if not all of Kelvin Bryant's records. If you are going by the NCHSAA record books. From just the triangle area the top 3 according to yardage are 1, Anthony Barbour-Garner 2. Josh Adams- Cary 3. Andre Mangum- Clayton
RE: Top Ten Running Backs from the Triangle of all Times
I don't know if I would put James Payne at number 2, but definitely top 10. People forget about him, his 1993 season was nuts. Payne took a slightly above average Garner team and made them a Regional final team against Northern Durham.
