Scotland High School Fighting Scots are poised and ready to capture the 4A or 4AA 2012 State Football Championship

I have been reading comments all summer about the Scots' fans will disappear from the message boards this season. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The Scots' fans enjoy enjoy educating the fans in this message boards area. People are counting out the Scots but fans better beware. The Scots will make life miserable for their fans a second straight season. The talent is still lurking in this area. Doubt us. But dont be surprised when the so-called powerhouses (and I wont call any names but you know who you are) are again tring to catch up and outrun those Scots.

Oh boy here we go. LOL.... I won't doubt the Scots because you have had great coaching the past few years, and a great coach now. You play in a tough league. Purnell Swett, Richmond, Lumberton, and Pinecrest are great competition. I will be at the Britt game. You will be able to cut the tension in the air with a knife. I can see you winning 4A again. Not so sure about 4AA.

With RC and Britt on the schedule the win streak looks shaky...If SC can do it again good for them...but like piratefball172 said not at 4AA...

Good luck. I have enjoyed Scotland's success since they have been owned by Richmond Co. for so long. No slam here I'm a fan and allumi of a Raleigh school who has also been owned by the Raiders thru the 90's.

RC has 25 Sr's. I expect RC to win big this time around IMO.

The reason I say the Scots are ready is because of the kids' attitudes. They are out to prove that they can win big again this year. And I know they can. The Scots are quicker this year than last. Their defense has speed everywhere. Much quicker than last year's. They are smaller, but quicker and just as strong. On offense the backs and receivers will create mismatches on every opponent's defenses. The offensive line may take a little longer to gel, but the Scots have a great coaching staff, so I know Bailey, Quick, and Clark will put together a masterful year. Just want the guys in certain areas of the state to be aware.We aint thru!!!!!

I think Scotland will still be a contendor. I do expect a loss to Richmond County. You poke a shark in the eye and you get swallowed hole. I know they can't wait for that game at RC. The Britt game will be emotionally charged. It is a distinct advantage to have a coach know the players he use to coach, but Britt is salivating for that game.

I'm tired of hearing this 4A and 4AA stuff when it has nothing to do with TALENT...Folk act like the Scots CHOSE to be in 4A last year....WRONG ANSWER

Scotland should be good...nobody's disputing that...last year was a special year for them...if they repeat it will be great...1st step is playing Britt, not an easy start..
