Best High School football game you ever seen.

The best hs game I ever seen was Nov. 23 2007. New Bern vs Millbrook third round of 4AA state playoffs.

it sounds funny because its so recent, but last season I saw 2 that would rank with any I've seen. Southern Nash at Wilson Hunt and the 3aa playoff game Nash Central at Wilson Hunt which went to overtime. The Football Friday highlights for both of those are archived here, great job by highschoolOT for keeping all their video up. It helped that the atmosphere was best I've seen for any high school game. A high school football fan really needs to see the smoke hovering over the field coming from the grill outside of the right corner of the endzone. We'd love to have yall here sometime.

Cleveland vs. Southern Vance last year. Rams were down 34-6 entering 4th quarter, but scored 27 points in the row to tied it. Southern Vance was attempting 20 yard FG with 0.9 seconds left in the game to win the game, but one of Cleveland DB BLOCKED the field goal and one of Cleveland's safety pick up the ball as the clock expired and ran 108 yards to scores the game winning touchdown. Everybody ran onto the field as he scored that touchdown. That was maybe the best game I've seen.

My own. Pine Forest vs Douglas Byrd in the 2000 Eastern Finals. Overtime with Byrd scoring on 4th goal from a 3 on a toss sweep. CJ Hardwick dove for the pylon. Myself and the outside linebacker dove to hit him. I rolled over the pylon. Ref raised his hands touchdown...still stings til this day. HE DIDN'T GET IN!...Sorry had an Al Bundy moment.

1987 RC vs Garner AB was 5 a carry, all Garner did was sweep left sweep right! AB was a bad boy! AB did get ran down from behind in that game but they ran for 75 80 yards! Great game!

1998 West Charlotte @ RC 18,000 at the game. RC was down 15 going into the 4th. WC kept kicking the ball to Rabbitt, He ran back a punt and kickoff that broke WC back!

2004 East Wake-Garner. Warriors won 49-47 on a last second field goal. Came from way down and needed to execute two successful on-side kicks in 4th quarter.
