Pac-6 2012
How do you think the conference will play out?
RE: Pac-6 2012
i'm think hillside will still be Favorited to win the conference but southern will be 2nd and Northern 3rd ... I just don't think southern can beat hillside and northern just don't have players with heart
RE: Pac-6 2012
Hillside got thumped by Scotland County last year. They should have a serious chip on their shoulders this year to take no team as a joke.
RE: Pac-6 2012
I am not biased when I say this but I truly believe people need to take a wait and see approach on Southern Durham. Based on what I have seen and heard from insiders this team is not to be slept on period.
RE: Pac-6 2012
I'm trying to be as unbiased as possible but my Hornets are far and away the class of the conference followed by Southern and my surprise team is Jordan. My Hornets are loaded with tons of talent on both sides of the ball and with a senior signal caller with our running game and defense we will not lose or even be challenged in a conference game. Southern is very talented as well, especially at the skilled positions and at LB, their weakeness is the in experience on the offensive line, a very, very young QB, and the departure of one of the best DB's in the conference. Jordan as usual has a ton of athletes and this group is very strong on the defensive side of the ball especially up front and at safety with all those guys returning. On the offensive side of the ball they are weak and with no QB, I expect them to hammer the ball the Jr. and Sr. RB's they have.
RE: Pac-6 2012
Hillside is talented but they can't take no team as a joke. I witnessed the beating Hillside took from Scotland County which means Hillside is human and they are not the chosen team for the football gods. Hillside better not be cocky with no team. They have not played one game this year and people are crowining them as state champions. Hillside got out coached and the players were looking around in awe of Scotland County's massive football stadium which contributed to their lost in the 3rd round of the playoffs last year. We'll see how good they are when they play the team from D.C.
RE: Pac-6 2012
To me ND may not beat Hillside but they sure can compete, they have a lot of talent and two good coaches. Last year was the coaches first year together and this year should be different. Yes HHS may have the talent but you still have to play the game. Why should HHS be amazed at Scotland County's stadium? The year before they just played at Wake Forest, that had no affect on them losing last year.
RE: Pac-6 2012
@rachorton
Are you really serious out-coached. ...In awe of stadium...funny really ...the kids that I know from Durham are not even built like that..they seen to much done to much to been in awe of anybody...Cmon man they traveled to VA,SC,NC,TN to play in championship games since 8yrs old w/Durham Eagles and you talking about awe about somewhere in the country where that have one county school cmon man really. SC had a better team last year. Let's see what you do this year.. If you talked to the people at Hillside they aren't the one's crowning themselves as champions. Yes they are talented and feel they can play with anyone nothing wrong with that, in fact that how I would want my son's team to feel. I'm pretty sure their not worried about anyone except just getting better
RE: Pac-6 2012
@rachorton really? Please. Well said DURHAM718.
RE: Pac-6 2012
We'll see when the kids lace their shoes and put their pads/uniforms on and all of the talking cease. The team that is playing their best towards the end of the year have a shot at the state championship. Ask the New York Giants and the St. Louis Cardinals. Those two teams did not play well during the regular season but they came on strong near the end of the regular season and playoffs. Talent is good to have but if you're not giving a maximum effort during the crucial time of the season, the team that you least expect can when a championship. In the immortal words of Coach Herm Edwards "That's Why We Play The Game". Good luck to all of the teams in the Pac 6.

What do you think the standings at the end of the year will be?
