The point I was trying to make is this, the major schools do not have the cash flow issues that local high schools have. Is Wakefield's use of the Wisconsin W taking any money out of Wisconsin's pocket,,,,,,,,no. I would like to see some public pressure placed on these centers of academic learning and send the message to back off and leave the high schools alone. I mean really, Georgia Tech, Wisconsin and the University of Washington have reached their tentacles deep into North Carolina for a trademark issue.

I remember my Pinecrest Patriots days back in the 80's. We used our Patriots logo on just one side of our helment just like my Steelers continue to do. I know this was the NFL and not college, but nothing was said. My how times have changed!!

I'm guessing that Jack Britt (the man, not the school) has made enough donations to ECU that the school won't have to worry about ECU pursuing any copyright infringement. You don't want to bite a hand that feeds you.
