Southern Durham played Dunbar (DC) last year at County Stadium and will be traveling to DC this upcoming season to play Dunbar. Great to see Hillside schedule a team from the DC/MD area as well the Bull City is taking scheduling to another level.

i agree dbcity the scheduling is a great oppurtunity for the kids to play out of state competition, hillside is on another level right now, builiding their program to a national level

Coach Brooks took over a year or so ago from one of the legends in HS coaching, you can see a link to Coach McGregor whom I believe is now over at Gilman.

They have a number of rising sophs through seniors that are listed on the recruiting sites with a few offers here and there, think I saw Maryland for one of the juniors and Old Dominion for a few of the seniors.

I dunno. Dematha is one of those parochial schools that seem to be anathema to some folks around here. Can't Hillside find a decent public school to play?

Im sure they could but why should they? North Carolina is the only state in the SOUTH that's not considered a football state. We need the likes of Hillside Southern and hopefully other schools around the state to start playing at least one team out of state nationally. This will help with getting kids more national exposure.
