PAC 6 2nd place battle

PAC 6 2nd place battle

My Hornets will win the PAC6 again, the fight is really for 2nd place between Southern, Jordan, and Northern. As much as I hate on Jordan I really think they have the talent and the coach to finish 2nd this year. I think they have a ton of talent on both sides of the ball with John Brown and Winson carrying the ball and Strothers, Smith, and my man Harrison on the defensive side of the ball. My only question is who is their QB? Does anybody know? I watched their JV last year and I know it can't be him but I don't remember seeing anyone come in for Mangili at all last year. Northern will be tough but they jusy can't score enough points to beat anybody, which brings me to Southern they will be strong in the backfield with Joel and at reciever with Trowell, I like the young QB Kendall, I watched his JV games and he's without a doubt ready to battle for second. What you think?

Nobody in the conference can stop scholarship U, we can run it Francis, throw it with Cinco, throw it or run it with Blake, throw it to Thompson, throw it any one of our DI TE's (Javien or McNeil) and with Dwight in the middle what are you supposed to do? If you think we were explosive last year, if Blake is the starter we will be beyond lethal and if its Cinco we will be very methodical. But either way we will just win, win, win

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

Interesting post. Kudos to HHS coaching staff, and their student-athletes for putting in the hard work to get opportunities at the next level. Amazing. Having a good "O" is fine but it will all comes down to the "D". They lost a lot last year, and hopefully the replacements are ready to step in and contribute. Just ready for the season to start and see how this year plays out.

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

Well, I agree with ulitmatefan69, interesting post. I have seen the the kid Joel from Southern and he is a beast if I ever saw one. Alot of people may sleep on him due to his size. But trust me he will make you pay if you underestimate him. I look to see him blow up this year. As for Hillside, they will forever reproduce Student athletes. Northern just don't have a prayer. Jordan, the jury is still out.

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

I read a post saying that McNeill is one legible for next year with the 8 semester rule. I think Northern will finish second next year.

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

Jordan has some really good players on both sides of the ball .... That's all I'm going to say. Can't wait

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

I think you all are counting out Northern a little too fast.. with the return of Merrill and the full senior offense they have, including a full 4 year starter on both sides of the ball, running back KY Fleming and a decent receiver staff, they will hold their own. placing them higher in the finals, i believe it will be a battle between SHS and NHS for second, and the NHS v. HHS game should be closer then in years past.

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

every great dynasty must come to a end be careful what you wish for, i know hillside has tons of talent but to dismiss all other teams as if they have no chance is disrespectful, where were all of you bandwagon fans when hillside wasn't so succesful, easy to jump in the car when the tank is full.

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

@ tobaccoroad919
I'm not sure that their dynasty is coming to an end anytime soon. They have tons of talent at the JV and Varsity level. I know kids at the middle school level who already talk abount wanting to go Hillside who can really play. Durham has tons of talent and that won't be drying up anytime soon. You can thank the Durham Eagles for that. Now that Hillside has really good coaching, I'm sure the AD will always have a sucessful coach in place because Hillside is stacked with talent which attracts good coaches. Because now the program is strong...Other PAC6 teams will get better , having to play Hillside will make Jordan better. They have some talent just a matter of getting it together and making the kids believe. I think Jordan surprises people this year.

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

i know hillside is talented and durham has tons of players at each level waiting to play and they should want to play for hillside, i think what coach king and his staff are doing academically with his young men as well as on the field is great I almost would like to see the staff get some recognition for their accomplishments in the clasroom as much as they do for winning football games. I just thought it was poor taste to crown them kings of the pac 6 before the season has even started when you have teams working just as hard with to get ready for the upcoming season, i agree with your post durham718 playing against hilside will make the pac 6 alot tougher against non conference opponents and in the playoffs, looking forward to a great season of football.

RE: PAC 6 2nd place battle

Hillside got class. Hillside got talent. They have more to lose if they don't meet all these expectations. It hard to stay on top. Jordan hadn't produced in how many seasons? And they have a new coach. They might be decent but they ain't coming in 2nd. Southern lost all they talent. I predict first place go to Hillside or NHS.
