Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
I keep hearing people transferring to Wakefield, anybody know who transfer there?
RE: Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
Do you know who transfer to wakefeild?
RE: Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
I know of at least two kids transferring to Wakefield from WFR maybe one more.
RE: Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
I guess the recruiting has now begun.
RE: Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
No recruiting the kids were unhappy.
RE: Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
Now? As in it hasn't gone on in the past?
Are we saying these kids families are going to up and move because the kids are unhappy?
Let me guess--they think they are pass receivers and WFR doesn't throw, so they are taking their talents elsewhere?

What do you base your statement on jameritt55? You just accused Wakefield of recruiting and you do not have any evidence, proof, nothing. The coaches there have reputations, integrity and families, but you can just pop off at the keyboard and level an accusation against a program because you guess.
RE: Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
Is it because the kids maybe just a don't like the coaching style or the program.
Hmmm?
RE: Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
CALLED SCHOOL OF CHOICE NOW.Most kids that live in that area and have being going to WFR or Wakefield now have a choice of either.
RE: Why is Wakefield Football getting all these players?
All the kids that left were on defense. Really good players 3 at Wakefield and 2 at Heritage.

If it is legal and the method in which the kid got to the new school is above board and ethical, why should outsiders care why the kids left or sought a new school? It could be any number of reasons and I do think that taking their talents to a system that is a better fit is a via reason to seek a new school. Is the school experience all about athletics, no. But if you are an athlete, it is a major part of your experience and if you can legally maximize your experience, why wouldn't you. These kids only get 4 years of high school and for many, the ball game is over for life, so why not make the most of your high years in athletics. If I'm a receiver type and one of my options under the new choice assignment plan allows me to choose a school with a program that better fits my skills, I would definitely consider selecting that school. Or if my parents are willing to move so that I now live in the assigned area (which has been going on for years), I would take advantage of that too. And as for recruiting, very few coaches in our area need to recruit. The program's reputation recruits for itself. These kids know other players on the teams and what the teams do and many times if the team has a need at their position. Anyway, if they go thru the proper procedures, I say go for it.
