Orange High School will be okay, they were a young team the past two years and ended the season with a big win at the end of conference and a playoff apperance all signs of a program turning around. If im not mistaken the qb from last year is returning and was a good football player so whats up with the mention of these other two qbs.

Chipper I agree with you totally. I've benn around the program more than anyone on here, OHS does have good turn outs for games but the coaches do nothing to get thee kids prepared out of season. A change? A change at what chipper? I think they need to change coaches personally. Besides HHS or SHS they have more talent than anyone else in even the PAC6. They do have talent to get ready from the middle school but none of those kids are ready for big time ball yet. Work with what they have had this year and the upcoming year. If the kids play together and listen they will be just fine.

The Mötley kid will be the QB and noone else. The JV QB broke his arm last year, It will be Motleys team from day one.

I agree about Motley being the QB. He's got a great arm and the experience, but the Cloer kid should find some time on the field and transition into the team's leader for the next two years.

OK, so I normally wouldn't get on hear and post,but because a few OHS players have gotten on these message boards and tried to create a little buzz about thierselves I did in the past just to let them know it wasn't all about them. But,when people start talking about things that they don't have a clue about I must speak up. Chipper189 I will let you know you are dead wrong about the weightroom being empty.I know for fact that the weightroom is open Mon-Thurs until 5 pm for lifting. I also know for fact that some of the coaches are there as well. We as coaches can't make a kid come to lift. Some play other sport,some have jobs. It would be nice to get little help from the parents to make YOUR child come lift. We can't make it mandatory like other schools,because when we tried, someone complained to the school board.Coaches just don't show up in August either.You know some of the coaches aren't teachers and not at the school everyday,but still volunteer thier time,and not just starting in August. The last two years we started taking the kids out in the spring(mid April),doing drills and during the summer there is a 7 on 7 passing league.I think we had about 10 to 12 kids showed up(mostly JV kids),so we had to cancel a lot of those too.Coach Moser and Coach Price have both went to the middle schools to talk to the 8th graders about playng @ OHS. Yes,I do coach @ OHS and I take offense to someone on the outside looking in when you don't have all the info of what's going on with the program. We can't force these kids to get excited about the upcoming season or to lift,so if you have any suggestions on how to do so please let's get together and get it going.

Letthemplay if you've been around the program more than anyone on here,then you would know everthing that is going on,or what we're trying to get going in the offseason,since you claim we do nothing.LOL Also, did you forget about the kid who stepped in for Cloer when he went down? Kizheer is not a bad qb. He's moble,tough,and has a cannon for an arm. I think there will be some competion at Qb this year with the 3 of them. With all this being said(previous post too),we as coaches can only do so much.

I know the coaches at OHS and they are very committed to the team and building a solid program, unless you coach you have no idea how difficult it can be to get kids in the weight room, like ignant3000 said some kids have to work or play other sports and arent able to come out everyday for off season ccnditioning. OHS was a young team the past two years and caught stride towards the end of the season beating Jordan at Jordan then Chapel Hill at home, i look for OHS to do some great things this season with experienced returning players.

We all agree they are very talented and need to dedicate their selves to the weight room. The offense will be very potent and very deep. We also agree that if they linebackers step in they will be great. My opinion though I think the Pittman that plays more offense should not play D at all. His offensive production slightly slowed down when he was asked to play D. Offensively he is one of the best backs in the area along with Pettiford. One other thing in my opinion is one day of contact in a practice week. This will tremendously help the D.

Ignant yes I did see the kid that stepped in, to me personally I believe like I said that this is Motleys team until something happens. I stand behind the coaches at OHS and what they do to prepare the kids. Ignant I'm not against anything you say sand j believe I know who this is, if it is then big guy keep found the great job that you do, good luck Panthers. I'll see ya around this year.
