Flippin, a 6-foot-5 forward, committed to Limestone College in Gaffney, S.C.

"I picked Limestone because I felt like they were the best fit for my style of play," Flippin said. "What really won me over was their coaching staff. I literally talked to at least one of their coaches everyday."

Flippin also had offers from Jacksonville, Mount Olive and Wingate, but in the end he said it came down to the relationships he built at Limestone.

"They are all down to Earth people and I feel like they are going to push me to be the best basketball player I can be," he said.

Holly Springs, a member of the Tri-9 4-A Conference, participated in the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational in December. The Golden Hawks post a 7-8 record, including a 3-5 mark in league play.
