East Wake High School girls basketball player Shakerrya Morrison has verbally committed to play basketball at NC A&T.
Toni Vick, the head girls basketball coach at East Wake, confirmed the information to HighSchoolOT.com.
"Shakerrya has great athleticism. She is the type of player that is going to work hard anytime she is on the court," Vick said.
Standing at 5-foot-10, Morrison averages 10 points and nine rebounds per game for the Warriors this season. East Wake posts a 10-5 overall record, and the versatility of Morrison has played a big role in the teams success.
"She can play the wing or post, she hustles on every play, she motivates her teammates and has a winner's mentality," said Vick. "She is a well-rounded player that can do it all."
