The Hillside High School boys basketball team has been added to the GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational, finalizing the tournament field for the upcoming season.
Tournament director Bill Sewell confirmed the addition of the Hornets on Friday morning.
Hillside features Class of 2012 shooting guard Torian Graham. Scout.com lists Graham as a three-star prospect, while Rivals.com has him as a four-star prospect.
At 6-foot-4 and 175-pounds, Graham has offers from Indiana, Marquette, Massachusetts, N.C. State, Villanova and Xavier. He was selected to Dave Telep's Carolina Challenge, an annual camp featuring the top 80 underclassmen in North Carolina.
An invitation to the GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational was given to Forsyth Country Day School, but the team decided to participate in the Frank Spencer Holiday Classic in Winston-Salem.
The finalized field includes Brandon (Miss.), Broughton, Cary, Christ School, Hillside, I.C. Norcom (Va.), Kinston, The Kiski School (Pa.), Knightdale, Middle Creek, Ravenscroft, Riverside, United Faith, Walton (Ga.), Westchester Academy and Word of God.
The 39th Annual GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational will be held Dec. 27-30 at Broughton High School's Holliday Gymnasium.
