Cardinal Gibbons High School will announce it's next head football coach Tuesday afternoon, HighSchoolOT.com has confirmed.
Mike Sheehan resigned from Cardinal Gibbons in March, months after leading the Crusaders to the most successful football season in school history.
Gibbons posted a 12-2 record in 2009, earning the overall No. 1 seed in the N.C. High School Athletic Association state playoffs which allowed the school to host it's first ever home playoff game in football since joining the NCHSAA.
Sheehan served as an assistant coach at Cardinal Gibbons for five years before taking over as the head coach in 2007. He posted an overall record of 21-17 as the Crusaders' head coach. The team made the playoffs the last two seasons under Sheehan.
