The Apex boys basketball team dominated Lee County from the opening tip on Monday evening, advancing to a 76-41 conference victory.
The Cougars opened the game with a 26-4 lead, and went into the half up 46-14.
As some of the Cougar reserves got into the game, the scoring began to even out in the second half.
Apex outscored Lee County 19-11 in the third quarter to enter the final period with a 65-25 lead.
The Yellow Jackets got the best of Apex in the fourth quarter, though.
Lee County scored 16-points in the final quarter and held Apex to 11-points.
12 players scored for Apex on Monday night, and three of them scored in double-figures.
Weston Murphy led the Cougars with 15-points, while Connor Belicic and Mike Fogg added 13 and 10-points respectively.
Kurt Eller and K.B. Boru scored eight-points each, and Sunil Ram had six-points.
