RALEIGH — The 29th season of Football Friday came to a close on Friday night. WRAL-TV sports anchor Tom Suiter has hosted the show for all 29 seasons.
Beginning next week, high school football coverage will move to WRAL's 11 o'clock news with Jeff Gravley. Be sure to tune in a few minutes early to catch the highlights from the local games.
Highlights on WRAL will also be posted on HighSchoolOT.com, so if you miss the news, you can catch them on the Internet. We will also have a statewide scoreboard on the site for the last two rounds of the playoffs.
There are two teams left from the HighSchoolOT.com coverage area. Wake Forest-Rolesville will host Jack Britt in a rematch of last year's 4-AA Eastern Regional Final, and Harnett Central will host New Hanover in the 4-A Eastern Regional Final.
Football Friday will return for its 30th season next August.
