South Granville advanced to the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 2-AA playoffs with a 35-7 victory over South Lenoir Friday night.
All year long the Vikings have called Ian Bosley's number and he has responded. Friday night was no different as Bosley carried 13 times for 235 yards and three touchdowns in the win.
Bosley scored the Vikings' first touchdown on a 84 yard run with 5:18 left in the first quarter.
The Blue Devils tied the game at seven with 3:05 left in the first half on a 55 yard pass from Cameron Parrish to Josh Hatch.
South Granville's Clarence Peace scored the second Viking touchdown with 17 seconds left in the first half from three yards out to make the score 14-7 at the half.
Bosley quickly made the score 21-7 in the second half on a 59 yard touchdown run and scored again with 5:17 left in the third quarter, this time from 55 yards out to make the score 28-7 in favor of the Vikings.
Peace finished the scoring for the Vikings on a 19 yard run to make the final score 35-7. Bosley led all rushers with 235 yards while Peace added 135 yards for the Vikings. Hatch led the Blue Devils in rushing with 79 yards.
South Granville will host Northwood next Friday night in round two of the playoffs.
