South Granville completed an undefeated run through the Carolina 9 conference with a 63-0 win at Granville Central to claim their first outright conference championship Friday night.
It was all Vikings from the opening kickoff when Ian Bosley took it 77 yards for a touchdown 13 seconds into the game.
By the end of the first quarter the Vikings were up 29-0. Bosley had four carries for 98 yards in the opening quarter and accounted for four of the first period Viking scores.
Darien Smith had the other touchdown, a 57 -yard free kick return following a safety. South Granville scored four more touchdowns on the night.
Freshman Josh Bailey had a three yard run; senior Dillon Beck had a 45 yard run; and senior Clarence Peace had two touchdown runs of five and 31 yards. The Vikings had 353 total rushing yards on the night.
