Ravenscroft got what it needed on offense and defense in a pulsating 14-7 victory over Providence Day Friday night in the first round of the playoffs.
The Ravens advance to play at Charlotte Christian next Friday in the second round.
Connor Gonet and Quinn Billerman led the Ravens offense again, and the defense made two huge stands, at the end of the first half and the end of the game, to aid the win.
Billerman completed 12 of his 14 throws for a whopping 145 yards and a score. Billerman got his touchdown in the second quarter, when he nailed Gonet for a 9-yard touchdown pass.
Gonet carried 19 times and made the most of them, churning out 122 yards and a touchdown.
Providence Day got its score on a 9-yard run by Josh Covington in the third quarter.
