DURHAM — Jordan running back Jerrell "JR" Rhodes has sent his National Letter of Intent to North Carolina, according to tarheelblue.com.
The university's official athletic Web site reports that Rhodes' National Letter of Intent was received at 10:13 a.m., Wednesday.
The 5-foot-11, 211-pound running back rushed for over 1,200-yards his senior season. Rhodes was named the PAC 6 Conference Offensive Player of the Year, and set the school's all-time rushing record with more than 4,000-yards in his career.
Rhodes rushed for nearly 1,300-yards as a junior, and over 1,500-yards as a sophomore.
Rhodes' signing becomes North Carolina's 22nd of the day.
Chapel Hill's Jared McAdoo and Smithfield-Selma's Justin Dixon and D.J. Bunn have also signed their National Letters of the Intent with the Heels.
