Favors to announce decision Wednesday on ESPN

The nations No. 1 overall prospect, according to Scout.com, will announce his college intentions Wednesday on ESPN.

Derrick Favors has reportedly narrowed his list to Georgia, Georgia Tech and N.C. State. His decision will be aired live, less than 30 minutes before Georgia Tech takes on Duke.

According to a report by Scout.com, the last college game Favors attended was Georgia Tech's victory over Georgia.

Georgia Tech head coach Paul Hewitt attended Favors' high school basketball game on Tuesday evening. Favors scored 30-points as he helped South Atlanta improve to 14-1 on the seaosn.

South Atlanta will play Le Flore High School and DeMarcus Cousins, another top recruit, on Thursday.

The 6-foot-9, 220-pound center is labeled a five star prospect by all major recruiting Web sites.

Favors took visits to all of his three finalists. The senior visited Georgia and Georgia Tech in August and September, then made the trip to Raleigh in mid-October.

Don't come to Raleigh, Derrick. Lowe blows and will hopefully be gone next year.

Sounds like it's going to be Georgia Tech, just based on the timing of his announcement.
