If you think JB gave the game to Richmond County then you don't football as much as you think you do.I'm sure JB is a pretty good team or they wouldn't be playing for the championsip.As far as what i meant about teams that shouldn't be there.Unless all #1 and #2 seeds make it to the championship game the majority of people feel like the other seeded teams shouldn't have been there.I agree the nchsaa has made a mess of things but we have to live with it.For whatever reason the #1 seeded teams from the east don't make it to the championship games.

what I meant was people didn't think byrd deserved to be there. We know the west is strong.

Look richard I thought Fayettevillle was east in nc so the best in the west couldn't beat a team from the east. so you people from the west need to the the nchsaa for the screwed up bracket.

If you knew football the way you think you do ,you would know.But that's right your from the eastern side.No wonder the east can't compete with the west.Go back and look at the history and you will see that the east can't put there #1 seeds in the championship games on a consistant basis.

There are plenty of teams that play in the championship games that shouldn't be there.That's football !!!.Every game of football played has bad calls by the refs,so there's no need to cry foul.If you want to be a state champion maybe you should consider moving over to the west side.The east side does not have a good record against the west side.

ok I saw the video and it doesn't look like a penality but all officials calls are judgement calls and he was on the field so respect his call people.

What has the cap 7 or the tri eight done in football. You take Garner out and we don't even mention wake county when it comes to football period Yeah you all have had some good runs but who caresa about eastern regional runner up. I thought the object was to win championships. I haven't seen the hillside byrd video but the call was made and right or wrong it won't be changed so forget about it and lets turn our attention to bb. These officials do the best job possible. how about giving douglas byrd some credit. they held hillsides offense scoreless. I apoligize for the earlier post but all this hillside Byrd talk is all it is. Talk the better team won 9-7.

Go back and look at what he says on other threads. People respond to him, and he never responds, because he can't defend what he says. He's what us message board people call a flamer - someone who comes on and posts ridiculous comments and leaves.

Just ignore him. We like to have real conversations on this board.

The Hillside faithful aren't whining. They have a very legitimate complaint against the officials in that game. Look at the video, and as Nick said, try to take your blinders off. There was no penalty. If the NCHSAA PUBLICLY says in a news report (N&O last week) that he wants to reveiw the tape of the play, you know there is something to it.

If this happened to your team, you'd be "whining" too, and rightfully so.
