Ravenscroft's Gonet commits to Richmond

RALEIGH — Ravenscroft all-state linebacker Cole Gonet has committed to the Richmond Spiders, HighSchoolOT.com confirmed with the school on Monday afternoon.

The 6-foot-2, 220 pound senior recorded more than 100 tackles last season.

His performance this season was enough to earn a spot on the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association All-State Team, and he also participated in the OASIS Shrine Classic last week - a game between the top players from the NCISAA and SCISAA.

Ravenscroft finished the season 10-3, advancing to the second round of the NCISAA playoffs.
