The N.C. High School Athletic Association has been forced to change the schedule for the 2008 football state championships.
Games were scheduled to be played at Kenan Stadium on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill on Saturday, but UNC scheduled home men's and women's basketball games for Saturday, Dec. 13, and winter graduation for Sunday, Dec. 14.
The games scheduled to be held at Kenan Stadium have tentatively been moved.
The 2-A state championship will be played on Friday night, Dec. 12, at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, the 4-A state championship will be held at 11 a.m., and the 4-AA state championship will be held at 3 p.m., on Sunday.
The changes were made to help avoid traffic problems with the university events taking place during the weekend.
