CHAPEL HILL — The world of high school football in North Carolina is awaiting word on the 2008 N.C. High School Athletic Association state playoffs.
The NCHSAA originally said that they would be releasing preliminary brackets by 4 p.m., Saturday, but the brackets have yet to be released. According to the NCHSAA, incorrect information was sent to the Association, resulting in the long delay.
Rick Strunk, the associate executive director of the NCHSAA, sent a notice to the media asking everyone to stay off of the Web site for the next 45 minutes or so.
The traffic on the site is preventing the Association from posting the brackets.
You will be able to find the brackets as soon as they are released right here on HighSchoolOT.com!
Strunk said that the preliminary brackets are complete. He added that once the brackets are posted, they will not be finalized until the information can be confirmed later tonight.
The NCHSAA will notify the media with a text agate when the brackets are completed.
HighSchoolOT.com will have the playoff brackets as soon as they are released. Look for analysis over the next several days, and be sure to join the HighSchoolOT.com LIVE BLOG Sunday night at 8 p.m., to discuss the match-ups.
