HighSchoolOT.com has confirmed through a reliable source that Ravenscroft senior Ryan Kelly will make his college decision public on Thursday night from Charlotte on ESPNU.
The same source indicated that the announcement will take place at 6:30 p.m. local time. "ESPNU Recruiting Insider" airs from 6:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening.
Kelly, the No. 11 prospect in the country, is expected to decide between Duke, North Carolina, Wake Forest, Georgetown, Notre Dame and Vanderbilt. He took official visits to four of those schools, but took unofficial visits to Duke and UNC.
There has been no indication that Kelly has made his decision yet. A source from Ravenscroft told HighSchoolOT.com Wednesday afternoon that Kelly had not notified the school of any decision.
WRAL's Jeff Gravley spoke to a source at Duke on Wednesday afternoon, and they indicated that the University had not received any word from Kelly.
Kelly took an unofficial visit to UNC last weekend where he attended the football game against Connecticut, among other things.
Ravenscroft is expected to host members of the media on Friday morning at Ravenscroft.
