The Stadium Authority met Tuesday to discuss renovations to the Durham County Memorial Stadium.
The Stadium Authority has recommended a budget of more than $7 million to the Board of Commissioners.
Phase one of the renovation project would include new artificial turf for the football field, adjustable goal posts, a new scoreboard and an eight-lane track. The venue would also get a new sign on Duke Street.
The first phase is expected to be completed by spring 2009.
The second phase of the project, expected to be completed by the 2010 football season, would include locker room renovations, new ticket booths and concourse improvements, and an expanded press box. Restrooms and concession stands would also be improved.
Several teams use the stadium, including Northern High School.
