The Enloe Eagles pulled one out on Friday night against the Athens Drive Jaguars.
The Jags, a team that has become used to success in recent seasons, made the first strike in the first quarter.
Quarterback Ross Snotherly hammered one home with the one-yard keeper for the game's first score, but the kick by Tanner Cannon was no good.
Seeing an opportunity to take advantage of Athens' mistakes, Enloe's David Highsmith ran for a 56-yard touchdown, and the point-after by Matt Jurek was completed.
Enloe had the first quarter lead of 7-6.
After both offenses go scoreless in the second quarter, the teams get things heated up in the third, only to have 20-points scored between the two in the fourth.
Snotherly passed for 216-yards including two touchdowns, while Enloe only passed three times, completing two of them for 12-yards.
The silver lining for Enloe this season appears to be their running game. The Eagles posted 355-yards on the ground Friday night, better than all of Athens Drive's offensive yards combined.
Athens Drive falls for the second straight week, 24-21. The Jags are now 0-2, while Enloe stands at 2-0.
