HighSchoolOT.com takes you back to Millbrook-Garner games in 2007

Aug 18, 2008

Thanks to the help of Millbrook videographer Bruce Million and the Wildcats' coaching staff, HighSchoolOT.com has exclusive full-game video for you to view of last season's Millbrook-Garner games.

The first video is from the first week of the season. Millbrook played host to the Trojans on Aug. 24, but the result was no signal as to what would come down the road for the Millbrook squad.

After a close first half, Garner pulled away in the second half, using their defense to keep Millbrook from building on the six points they scored in the first half. The Wildcats' only touchdown came on a keeper by quarterback Brian Kass. Meanwhile, sophomore Josh Brooks was lighting up the field for the Trojans.

Millbrook suffered a 26-6 loss to the Trojans on the first Friday night of the 2007 season, and after a poor offensive performance against Knightdale, the Wildcats weren't looked at as one of the top teams in the Triangle.

Oh, how things changed.

By the time the second video was shot, it was the second round of the 4-AA N.C. High School Athletic Association State Playoffs. The Trojans were hosting the red hot Wildcats on the same field they will play on Aug. 22.

The difference was unmistakable. Millbrook not only beat Garner at Trojan Stadium, they dominated them.

You can relive all of the action between the two teams from last season right here on HighSchoolOT.com with our exclusive video provided by Million.

Special thanks to the N.C. High School Athletic Association for permission to show the playoff footage from 2007.
