Connor Mitch in NCHSAA record book again

Wakefield High School quarterback Connor Mitch will find his name in the N.C. High School Athletic Association record book again.
Mitch threw for 461 yards and seven touchdowns in last week's 56-20 win over Sanderson High School. The performance is the 12th best passing mark for a single game.
Last week also marked the third time Mitch has thrown for seven touchdowns, according to the NCHSAA.
Mitch set a passing record last year against Leesville Road, throwing for 605 yards and seven touchdowns.
At 6-foot-3 and 210 pounds, Mitch is a 4-star quarterback and ranked No. 17 in the Class of 2013, according to Rivals.com. He has committed to play college football at South Carolina.
Wakefield posts a 5-0 record, including a 1-0 mark in the Cap 8 4-A Conference. The Wolverines will host Millbrook (1-4) this week before traveling to Leesville Road (4-0) next week.
