Late Wednesday, the N.C. Coaches Association released the names of the coaches for the 2013 East-West All-Star Games and the Carolinas All-Star Basketball Classic.

A number of local coaches were selected to lead teams in their respective sports.

2013 Carolinas All-Star Basketball Classic

Women: Head Coach - Sherri Tynes (Laney); Assistant Coach - Tim Krotish (Eastern Alamance)

Men: Head Coach - Tony Marshburn (Northside-Jacksonville); Assistant Coach - Frank Maennle (Swian County)

2013 East-West Football:

East: Head Coach - Randy Raper (Hunt); Assistant Coaches - Ken Avent, Jr. (James Kenan), Jim Bob Bryant (Havelock), Jeff Gould (SouthWest Edgecombe), Tyrone Johnson (Beddingfield), David Lovette (Gray's Creek)

West: Head Coach - Shane Laws (A.C. Reynolds); Assistant Coaches - Dale Barnes (West Davidson), Butch Carter (South Caldwell), Mike Johns (Mt. Pleasant), Scot Johnson (Starmount), Terry Radford (Hunter Huss)
