Richard Huxford was named the new head boy's soccer coach at Green Hope High School Wednesday.
Huxford played professionally in Europe for 17 season in addition to coaching at multiple levels in both Europe in the United States. He has served as an assistant on the Carolina RailHawks staff, as well as a a head coach of a semi-pro team in the UK and several Elite Club teams in Scottland.
“Richard will not only bring his unique experience as a professional player and coach to Green Hope High School, but his expertise in Sports Science as well," said Wayne Bragg, Green Hope athletic director. "The Green Hope community is very proud to have him as our next Head Coach.”
Huxford will replace Andrew Chadwick who guided the Falcons to a 25-1 record last season and a 4A state championship en route to being named ESPN National Coach of the Year.
