Middle Creek baseball ends season nationally ranked

After winning the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4-A baseball state championship in two games, the Middle Creek Mustangs end the season nationally ranked.

BaseballAmerica.com released the final High School Top 50 of the season on Tuesday. The poll is compiled by Baseball America and by the National High School Baseball Coaches Association.

Middle Creek finished the season ranked No. 40 in the poll. The Mustangs posted a 25-6 overall record this season en route to the state championship.

Lilburn (Ga.) Parkview finished the year with the No. 1 ranking.

Middle Creek is the only team from North Carolina to make the Top 50.
