Brian Rimpf has been selected as the head football coach at Jack Britt High School replacing Richard Bailey who left last month to become the head coach at Scotland County.
Rimpf, an East Carolina University graduate formerly was the offensive line coach at Harnett Central. While at East Carolina, he was a two-time team captain and had 37 consecutive starts on the offensive line from 1999-2003 while earning Conference USA All-Freshman honrs, and was named 1st Team All-Conference USA three consecutive years and was an honrable mention on SI.com's All-American Team.
He was drafted in the seventh round of the 2004 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens and played in 16 games while starting seven at offensive guard.
Rimpf graduated from Leesville Road High School in Raleigh where he lettered in football, wrestling, and track.
