Leesville Road golfer Grayson Murray earned his second sponsor's exemption in three years to the Rex Hospital Open this week at TPC Wakefield Plantation.
Murray will play with the pros after besting his junior peers in the 36-hole Rex Hospital Junior Invitational Sunday. He shot a 5-under par 137 to edge Ben Schlottman of Advance, N.C. by one stroke and Kendrick Vinar of Chapel Hill, N.C. by three strokes.
In 2010, Murray shot a second-round 66 at the Rex, becoming the second-youngest golfer ever to make the cut in a PGA Nationwide Tour event.
Murray will golf for Wake Forest University in the fall.
