Brewington steps down at Leesville Road

Leesville Road High School will have a new boys basketball coach next season.

According to Leesville Road Athletic Director Jack Rogers, Roderic Brewington resigned as the head basketball coach on Thursday.

"Coach Brewington has been an asset to the athletic department at Leesville Road High School," Rogers said. "He has created a basketball program that represents Leesville in a positive way both on the court and in the classroom."

This past season, Leesville Road was 10-13 overall, including a 6-8 in the Cap 8 4-A Conference.

Rogers said Leesville Road will begin the search for a new basketball coach immediately.

"We will post the job immediately so that we can build on the excellence that Coach Brewington has established in our program. We wish him and his family the very best in all future endeavors," said Rogers.
