Green Hope guard Chris Flemmings has signed to play college basketball next year.
Flemmings signed his National Letter of Intent with Barton College on Wednesday, according to Green Hope coach John Green.
"Chris made a tough decision last week after narrowing down his list to a couple of schools at the end of the basketball season," Green said.
A three-year varsity player at Green Hope, Flemmings was an all-conference selection his junior and senior seasons, and made honorable mention all-conference as a sophomore.
As a senior, Flemmings led the team in a number of categories with 16.9 points, 7.7 rebounds, 2.6 assist, 2.2 steals and 2 blocks per game. He was 53-percent from the field and shot 81-percent from the free throw line. Green Hope compiled 23 wins his senior year, the most in school history.
"Chris is a great student-athlete at Green Hope. We are are all very proud of Chris for his accomplishments in high school and expect there to be more to come at the college level," said Green. "Barton is getting a great person as well as a player."
