Millbrook's Day invited to USA Basketball tryouts

Millbrook High School's Briana Day is already having a great spring.

According to Millbrook coach Chris East, Day was invited to tryout for the 18U USA Basketball Team in Colorado Springs, Colo., next month.

Day led the Wildcats in scoring with over 10 points per game last season. The North Carolina recruit was also named the Most Valuable Player of the N.C. High School Athletic Association's 4-A Eastern Regional Championship and the State Championship.

Millbrook defeated West Forsyth 57-40 in the state championship game last month. Day scored 17 points and recorded 6 rebounds in the Wildcats' state championship win.

Day has one season left at Millbrook before she will play college basketball at UNC.

The 18U USA Basketball team is coached by Katie Maier of Miami.
