Person hires Reidsville football coach

Person High School has found its next head football coach.

Doug Robertson will take over the Rockets' program after spending 11 seasons at Reidsville High School. He is a 1995 graduate of Reidsville.

Lou Geary resigned as the head coach of the Rockets in February, citing personal reasons. Geary was the head coach at Person for two years, compiling a 5-7 overall record, including a 1-10 mark this past season.

Prior to coaching at Person, Geary was the head coach at Cedar Ridge High School. He has been a football coach for 31 years.

Robertson was the head coach of the Rams for the last three seasons, compiling a 36-7 overall record. In 2009, Robertson led the Rams to a 2-AA state championship.

Last season, Reidsville was 11-4, falling in the 2-AA Western Regional Final.
