Chapel Hill point guard Denzel Ingram committed to UNC-Charlotte over the weekend.
The 5-foot-11, 160-pound senior committed to the 49ers on Sunday.
Ingram averaged 24 points per game this past season for Chapel Hill, earning him a number of honors, including NC Basketball Coaches Association District 6 Player of the Year honors, NCPreps.com Player of the Year, and all-conference.
This past season, Chapel Hill compiled a 26-2 overall record, going undefeated throughout the regular season. The Tigers lost to J.F. Webb in the conference tournament championship game, then Webb handed Chapel Hill its second loss less than one week later in the second round of the N.C. High School Athletic Association 3-A state playoffs.
In December, Ingram was named the Most Valuable Player of the HighSchoolOT.com Holiday Invitational after Chapel Hill defeated Broughton to win the four-team boys championship.
Ingram will participate in the Jordan Brand Regional Game in Charlotte next month.
