Two Hillside High School football players have verbally committed to play college football at North Carolina.
Running back Khris Francis and defensive back Korrin Wiggins committed to head coach Larry Fedora and the Tar Heels on Wednesday evening before the Heels' home basketball game against Duke. Both Francis and Wiggins were in attendance for the rivalry game.
Hillside football coach Antonio King confirmed the commitments to HighSchoolOT.com on Wednesday night.
UNC offered Francis and Wiggins on National Signing Day - Feb. 1.
At 5-foot-10 and 190-pounds, Francis posted 2,250 rushing yards and 31 touchdowns last season for the Hornets. He also caught nine passes for 90 yards and one touchdown.
Wiggins is a a 6-foot-1, 185-pound defensive back for the Hornets, which allowed just 16 points per game last season.
Hillside compiled an 11-2 overall record, winning the PAC 6 4-A Conference title with a 6-0 record.
