FINAL: Riverside 59, Millbrook 49
Riverside fought back in the fourth quarter with a 16-4 run to take the lead and hang on to it.
Sean Deniton tied the game at 44-44 with a lay-up with 5:10 left, and the Pirates never looked back. Forcing turnovers and hitting big shots (including several free throws) Riverside outscored Millbrook 23-8 in the fourth quarter.
This avenges an earlier loss to the Wildcats.
Riverside will now face undefeated Terry Sanford tomorrow at 5 p.m. for the right to go to the state championship game.
END OF 3RD QUARTER: Millbrook 41, Riverside 36
Millbrook had to weather a Riverside run early in the quarter when the Pirates scored six unanswered to tie the game, but the Wildcats came back on top by the end of the quarter.
Danny Mizerk has gotten a few big 3-pointers, and Donzell Hill continues to play great.
We're in a tight one, and the fans are into it. I think we're going to see this one go down to the very end.
HALFTIME STATS:

Jarod Belvin - 8 points
T.J. Warren - 5 points

HALFTIME: Millbrook 32, Riverside 28
Credit two 3-pointers from Danny Mizerk and Tyrrel Tate, as well as a pair of free throws from Shi'Chee Moore in getting Millbrook ahead for the half.
Riverside came back in the second quarter to take the lead, but Millbrook responded well. So far in this game, we've had three ties and four lead changes.
Jarod Belvin is leading Riverside with eight-points. Six of his points came off a pair of 3-pointers.
Donzell Hill leads Millbrook in scoring with 12-points to go along with six rebounds. He's on track for a double-double in this game. Tyrrel Tate is also having a good game. He's got nine-points.
We'll have halftime stats shortly.
END OF FIRST QUARTER: Millbrook 18, Riverside 17
Millbrook led by as many as seven-points in the first quarter, but thanks to Jarod Belvin, the Pirates are back in it.
Belvin hit two 3-pointers to end a Millbrook run.
The Wildcats are getting a huge performance from Donzell Hill right now. Hill has 10-points and four rebounds, going 5-of-7 from the field. Riverside has missed some easy chip shots, though.
Early it looked like this would be like the first game, but not so much now. I expect a tight one.
PREGAME
We're down to our last game of the night featuring two Triangle teams - Riverside from the PAC 6 and Millbrook from the Cap 7.
The two met earlier this season in the GlaxoSmithKline Holiday Invitational where Millbrook jumped on the Pirates early and had to hang on in the fourth quarter to win.
This should be fun. The winner gets Terry Sanford tomorrow at 5 p.m., for the right to play for a state championship!
