The Ravenscroft Varsity Basketball teams swept the TISAC Conference Tournament titles on Friday, Feb. 19 in the Main Arena.

The top-seeded Ravenscroft girls team defeated #2 Cary Academy, 55-44, to win its third straight TISAC title. Senior Erin Bratcher, who was named the conference Player of the Year, led the Ravens with 14 points. Bratcher was also the TISAC Player of the Year as a sophomore. Joining her on the All-Conference team was senior Hillary Margolis.

Under the leadership of first-year Head Coach Shon Hardy, the Ravens enter next week's NCISAA 3-A State Championship Tournament with a 21-7 overall record. The Ravens advanced to the state semifinals each of the last two years.

The #1 Ravenscroft boys jumped out to an early lead on #3 Durham Academy and never looked back, netting a 78-42 victory. It is the Ravens' fourth straight tournament title and their 32nd consecutive conference win under Head Coach Kevin Billerman.

Junior Joell Hopkins had 16 points for the Ravens and freshman Anton Gill added 13 points. Jordan Lawson had 21 for the Cavaliers.

Senior Luke Davis was named the TISAC Player of the Year, and was joined on the All-Conference team by Hopkins and senior Mike Ehilegbu. Seniors Sean Billerman and Stefan Stoyanovich were Honorable Mention selections.

The Ravens, who finished as the NCISAA 3-A State Championship runner-up in 2009, will enter next week's tournament with a 22-5 overall record.
