FINAL: Wakefield 70, Enloe 66
Wakefield had to hang on and it came down to the end in another exciting Wakefield-Enloe match-up this season!
The Wolverines finished the game at the line. Sealing the deal going perfect from the strip in final minutes.
Meanwhile, because Wakefield only had six team fouls, the Wolverines were able to foul Enloe to keep them from hitting a 3-pointer and tying the game. The strategy worked for Pat Kennedy.
Wakefield will now play Millbrook in the Cap 7 championship game Friday night at 7 p.m.
END OF 3RD QUARTER: Wakefield 48, Enloe 46
Enloe has started a comeback, but Wakefield still has the slight advantage.
The Eagles are starting to do what they weren't doing early. Getting to the basket and finishing and keeping Wakefield from scoring.
Remember, this game was a one-point game both times these two teams met this year. Both teams one once. Heck of a finish coming.
HALFTIME: Wakefield 35, Enloe 31
At one point during the second quarter, Melvin Tabb looked like he was going to take over the game. But Wakefield's defense clamped down and stopped the Wake Forest recruit for the last half of the quarter.
Wakefield is getting scoring from just about everybody that steps on the floor tonight. Not only are they scoring, they're getting high percentage shots.
Enloe's going to have to play better defense on the interior and find a way to get some points. They've missed too many free throws too.
For now, Wakefield is up by four-points.
END OF 1ST QUARTER: Wakefield 19, Enloe 16
Each time these two have met this season, it's been decided by one-point. Wakefield won the first meeting, Enloe won the second. Looks like we're in for a good one here tonight.
Wakefield got up early hitting some inside shots and getting to the basket. They started off quicker than Enloe did, but Enloe didn't let them get too far ahead.
Three-point game going into the second quarter.
Pregame: We're running a few minutes behind, but this game should be as good as the last. Two of the best teams in the Triangle. Come here for updates!
