Northern Durham athletic director Walt Hensler said in an e-mail Tuesday that the PAC 6 conference tournament will take place this year, the day after the conference announced the tournament had been canceled.
There are a few regular season games that still have not been played, but play in the conference tournament is slated to begin on Wednesday at the highest seed.
Games from the regular season that were not played will not be made up, according to Hensler.
"I don't think there was a perfect solution for this situation, but the athletic directors felt like this was the best one," Hensler said.
The semifinals will be held on Thursday and the finals on Friday. The last two rounds will be held at East Chapel Hill.
