I don't know why I'm posting this so early! I've been going right up to the last minute for a couple of weeks, but last week was just ridiculous.

It's OK though, I still haven't outdone my worst from last season. I remember at one point, I published my picks from the parking lot of Knightdale High School. No lie.

This week I think we could potentially see a few upsets. But am I going to predict them? We didn't really see any monumental upsets last week, except for possibly Terry Sanford getting a temporary injunction. That upset was corrected, though.

Some potential upsets to watch this week: Athens Drive over Southern Durham, Fuquay-Varina over Pinecrest, Hillside over Middle Creek, and Southeast Raleigh over Harnett Central.

I'm really feeling an Athens Drive win this week... but I'm not gutsy enough to pick them.

NICK'S LAST MINUTE PICKS: SECOND ROUND

Athens Drive @ Southern Durham

Fuquay-Varina @ Pinecrest

Garner @ Wake Forest-Rolesville

Hillside @ Middle Creek

Jesse Carson @ Cardinal Gibbons

Leesville Road @ Jack Britt

Northwood @ South Granville

Southeast Raleigh @ Harnett Central

I said last night I thought South Granville was the favorite, but that it would be much closer. I don't ever make my picks until Friday.

I'm going with Northwood.

Nick,

In your chat you picked South Granville to win. Now here you pick Northwood. Do you want to pick one or leave it the way it is cause no matter who wins you'll be right
